- Pressure loss computation of gas ducts

The program computes pressure conditions in gas ducts. It can act thereby around flue gas channels in power stations, or e.g. risers in mines or air conditioning of buildings. The operation is very simple. The user selects the suitable from a gallery of shaped parts, enters some parameters (mostly dimensions). The program finds then the Zeta value. The results can be plotted in the form of table and graphically. Also conversions are accomplished on other load cases.

Elements, from which the gas channels are computationally copied, are:

• Straight channels
• Knees
• Elbows
• Segment elbow union
• Narrowings and diffusers
• T-fittings (mixing place and distribution)
• Blower
• Apparatuses
• Elevation difference
• In the future further elements are planned

As result the program supplies:

• A detailed table with cross section, valocity, zeta value, pressure loss etc.
• Balance of sections
• Balance of the blowers (increases in pressure)
• Diagram - run of the static pressure
• Diagram - run of the dynamic pressure
• Diagram - run of the velocity
• Diagram - compilation of the pressure losses
